Design Brief
For this project I redesigned three of the dust jackets for the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan. The overall goal was to create a jacket that was unique to each book but shared a unified style between the three.
Design Reasoning
The overall approach I wanted to come with for these dust jackets was simplicity. In order to convey this notion of simplicity I chose to take a textural element from each book and use that in some manner to depict an overall important element from the books. In addition I thought adding the element of symmetry would help reach the goal aesthetic.
